Hi, I’m Lou.  This blog is a little bit of me.

I’m a self taught, crochet mad craftaholic, a Mum to two lads (I can’t really call them boys because they’re giants! One is 16 and the other is 12 going on 20!) and partner to Geoff (my long suffering fiancé).

As I approach 40 this year I thought that it was about time I sorted my life out and popped everything right here in one place.  Hopefully this will help me organise my life and start feeling like a proper grown up but I’m not holding my breath.

You may have already noticed my grammar and spelling leave a lot to be desired so, if you’re a fully signed up member of the grammar police then this may not be the place for you but if you’re a fan of the occasional smiley face 😉 and you don’t mind my excessive use of exclamation marks then we should get along just fine.

So, If you’re a craft lover who doesn’t mind my occasional ramblings about life, love, Gin and anything else that may come to mind then, by all means, pop back from time to time, see what I’ve been up too, leave a comment or two and let me know what you think.

  1. Hello Lou,
I think your family looks great and so do you. I was making chemocaps until I came upon fidget sleeves or twiddle muffs. I too am a crocheter and cannot knit or sew. I am not a friend of people with dementia but I would like to start making these sleeves or muffs and donate them to the indonesian alzheimers foundation for them to give away to caregivers who meet once a month.
I am going to start one soon.
Thank you for posting on line. I also just subscribed to your newsletter.
    Love and God bless you,

I’d love to hear how you get on making your twiddle muffs. Perhaps you could send me a picture? I’d love to see them. My email address is, [email protected]

      Many thanks, once again,
